Modern Quilt Guild The Stitchin Post will be hosting the Central Oregon Modern Quilt Guild meeting on the 3rd Tuesday of each month beginning in September. Join us for our first gathering Tuesday, September 18th from 5-8 The mission of this group is to support and encourage the growth and development of modern quilting through art, education and community. Come learn first-hand what the "modern quilting" craze is all about. The evening is also a sew night, so bring your machine and start your first modern quilt. Fall Art Party How could you resist an evening filled with creativity and fun? Grab a friend (or two) and sign up for our Fall Art Party. There will be artistic facilitators on hand to guide you through a variety of crafty projects. Tuesday, October 9th from 6-8pm We will provide the inspiration, materials and some yummy snacks. You just add the special creative touch.

Hexa-mania has begun We kicked off our Hexa-mania on Wednesday, September 12th with Jackie's class, English Paper-Piecing. See our blog for a step-by-step tutorial on this great traditional technique. We challenge you to find a "hexagon" project this fall. Stay tuned for details on our Hexa-mania contest and how to win prizes. For those of you looking for inspiration, we have "hexa" classes scheduled each month through December. Of the Earth with Jean Jean will be teaching her "Of the Earth" workshop November 5-9. Let your surroundings be your inspiration as Jean helps you explore new design techniques that are drawn from the simplicity of the land. Wrenly's 12 days of Christmas Get ready for the holidays with Valori's beautiful Wrenly fabric designs in a Christmas/Holiday palette. Each Friday beginning September 14th she will post an exciting and inspirational project for the holidays.
