Here is a sneak peak of the Two Rivers quilts that were made and are currently on display in the Lodge at Black Butte Ranch. This is a 40-foot quilt created by 19 quilters. It will also be on display at the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show.
Two Rivers Three Sisters is the product of a unique collaboration between the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show, the National Forest Foundation and the U.S. Forest Service.
Last meeting Crys came to present a workshop/class from Elizabeth's new book.
We will start with the first pattern, Metropolis, and see how it goes from there. Maybe we can work on more of them together.
It is a great way to learn new tips and Crys is a great instructor.
If you would like to participate it will be $15 and you will need a supply list, which you can pick up at the shop or I can send to you. There is a photo of the back of Crys' example. The front has four of the Metropolis blocks. Crys estimated that we should be able to make four blocks during the time we have.
Also, if you would just like to sew please still come!!
We will be meeting at 5:00pm with some show and tell from the retreat and at 5:30pm we will start the workshop and our usual sit-and-sew.
Here's a sneak peak into Material Girl Fabrics in Redmond.
If you haven't had a chance to go there yet, round up a sewing buddie and head to Redmond to check out the shop. Leslie and her son are so welcoming and they have a great selection of different fabrics.
