Ohio Star Challenge at Quiltworks Gallery

Hurry! You still have to the end of the month to see our Ohio Star Made Modern Challenge quilts at the Quiltworks Gallery. This is the third and last planned exhibit for this challenge. 

Here are the challenge quilts tucked in along the wall behind the store's display quilts along the banister. What a wonderful gallery and a wonderful honor to be displayed here!

Starting at the end of the room, is Lindsey's and Kayla's quilts, Then (unpictured) is Laurie's to start the next wall. Marilyn's is next along the wall, followed by Corni's and Erin W's and Sarah G's and Sarah P's. 

Then we have Susan's and Kristin's. On the third wall is Janice's, Erin B's, and Tamra's 

Sabine's was hung in a place of honor on the stairs.

Mt. Bachelor Quilters' Guild: Quilt Show in the Park

The Mt Bachelor Quilters' Guild had their quilt show this past weekend.

 It was a great show! Hopefully you were able to stop and see the quilts.

They invited our group to have a special exhibit.

Ohio Star Made Modern Exhibit

Last weekend, on Saturday August 16th, was our second time exhibiting our Ohio Star Made Modern challenge quilts. They were a special group exhibit at the Mt Bachelor Quilter's Guild quilt show.
The first was last month at the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show, and next month we will be hanging in the QuiltWorks gallery for the entire month of September.

There's just something so wonderful about seeing the quilts outside in the Central Oregon sunshine!

Quilt Show!

It's Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show week! Everyone is busy with quilting activities, it's such a fun time! There are loads of fun classes going on at Quilter's Affair, and Festival of Classes, specials and events at other local quilt shops. Many of our members have more than one quilt in the show, many are volunteering at the show or in the Quilt Show Office, many are taking classes, or just enjoying the festivities all week long.

We wanted to highlight a couple of things that are happening on quilt show day itself: this Saturday, July 12th.

COMQG Group Exhibit
See our Ohio Star Made Modern exhibit on Sisters Drug on Cascade Ave. Yep, that's the 'main street' and we are in the same location as our challenge last year. We'd love to see you at our exhbit! Members have volunteered to be hostesses in our exhibit area all day, so we will have guild members there to tell you all about the quilts.

A casual Modern Quilt Guild gathering will be at the Portland Modern Quilt Guild exhibit area. Come along at 2pm to gather with other MQG members, and there has been talk of enjoying a happy hour beverage with friends after. Come along at 2pm for all the fun!
