About Us

The Central Oregon Modern Quilt Guild (COMQG) is a chapter of the worldwide Modern Quilt Guild. We encourage anyone who is interested to join us at our local guild meetings. We are about sharing ideas, tips, techniques, and encouragement, as well as a love of quilting. We are always excited to meet someone new.  Please come to one of our meetings to find out more.

COMQG had its first meeting in November 2010, and joined the Modern Quilt Guild upon formal membership opening in July 2013. 

About the Modern Quilt Guild

The Modern Quilt Guild (MQG) is a worldwide organization of quilters and quilt guilds. Our guild pays dues to the MQG to be a chapter of the MQG. For more information about the MQG, check out their website. 

Meetings

Anyone is welcome at our guild meetings! Please come join us. We meet twice a month for "sewcial" time in Central Oregon. Bring your machine or hand work to the meeting with your latest project to work on.

We meet twice a month for sewing and guild business. Currently via Zoom.

Other sew days or outings will be scheduled occasionally. These are announced on the guild blog and also via email to members.

Guests are welcome anytime! After visiting for two meetings as a guest, we ask that you join our guild if you'd like to keep attending.  

Dues

Our yearly dues will be $25 per member. 

We charge dues to cover the costs of our guild. One of those costs is paying dues to the Modern Quilt Guild. 

By joining our Central Oregon guild, you are entitled to all the benefits of being a member: guild meetings, sew days, challenges, and more! In addition, you earn the benefits of being a member of the worldwide Modern Quilt Guild: fabric for challenges, and discounts on MQG activities. This page explains the Modern Quilt Guild benefits that you gain as an individual by joining our guild. 

Again, all you have to do is pay dues to Central Oregon Modern Quilt Guild to enjoy all of these benefits.
