We had a great meeting tonight!

So many Cool Colors quilts in progress for show and tell!

Kristin has nearly finished the QuiltCon charity quilt top. Doesn't it look great!

Kim made this for her grandson...

Laurie brought this to share and may use this for her cool colors challenge. This picture doesn't show all the beautiful paisley or the lovely cool blue well at all! 

And Corni made this improv quilt for her cool colors challenge. Can you see the pop of warm color in the sea of cool! Stunning!

Meeting Reminder

It's the Third Tuesday this week so we're meeting at the Stitchin' Post on Tuesday September 15th from 5 to 8pm. Come around to the back door to the classroom if you arrive after the shop closes at 5pm. 

We'll start our agenda at 6pm.

• Cool Colors challenge quilts are due in early October. We are still figuring out when our challenge photographs and measuring party is. 
• upcoming Gee's Bend challenge quilts at Quiltworks for the month of October. Susan is coordinating collecting quilts and descriptions for the show.
• COMQG 5th Anniversary Party at Quiltworks on November 3rd.
• our plans for nominating and electing a board for 2016
• Show and tell!

Meeting Recap

Last week we had a great meeting!

We had some visitors (we LOVE guests!) and some great show and tell. Thanks to Corni and Kayla for the pictures. 

It looks like a couple of people are working on their Cool Colors Challenge quilts! Janice's quilt and Sara's great log cabin blocks. I can't get enough of the blues and greens in our cool colors quilts!

And Corni made these houses!
