we are super lucky to have a member, Kristin talk to us about how to photograph quilts for juried exhibits. This should be a wonderful, informative presentation from Kristin!

Also on the agenda:

--Updates about the MQG. I just got notified of a couple of fun ways that we will be able to participate in QuiltCon 2016! We'll be discussing the challenge and also the charity program for QuiltCon 2016.

--Updates about quilting in Central Oregon.  Did you all shop hop?

--Updates about our Guild. Retreat, Scrappy Stash Buster, upcoming Sew Day.

What you should bring:

--your nametag to be entered into the drawing

--yourself! 

--a hand sewing project to work on during the meeting/sew time. 

--dinner or drinks if you so choose

--Show and tell (my favorite!)

It's that time again, the third Tuesday of the month. So we're meeting at the Stitchin' Post at 5pm. We're meeting at Quiltworks in Bend, from 5 to 8. We'll do the business portion of the meeting at 6.

On the agenda:

• Show and tell

• group discussion: favorite resources that aren't online. Maybe it's a book you love (maybe it's not quilting but it still inspires your quilting?), or a place? or a person. I know for many of us it's each other! 

• Ongoing challenges:

--Black to White challenge for QKS, a challenge open to any MQG member in the PNW. see http://callforentriespnwmodernquilts.com/ for all the information. Due date in June

--MQG Riley Blake fabric challenge. Due date in July.

--COMQG cool colors challenge, due October 1st. 

• Christy's scrappy stash buster next meeting is Wednesday this week, too! This is a just-for-fun quilt along, and many members are following along the pattern, some are just doing a few blocks. 

• Upcoming Sew days/retreats:

May 1-3rd retreat hosted by Lindsey (that's me!)

June 13th sew day hosted by Erin.

your sewing project to work on during the meeting. There's space for sewing machines or handwork.
