Meeting recap

Thanks all for such a great meeting last night! We saw 17 finished Ohio Star Made Modern Challenge Quilts!! This exhibit is going to be amazing--these quilts really show the creativity of our group and I'm so proud to be a part of it. 

Here's some of them in a big ol' pile. (stacking them like this on this rock in the Quiltworks parking lot is somewhat of a COMQG challenge tradition now)

Kayla will be working with the Sisters show to determine if we can display all our quilts in a special exhibit. Completing the challenge and having a full list of quilts and sizes and pictures of each one is key, so thank you all! Stay tuned for more information on this matter.

We took sign up for hostessing in the COMQG challenge display area on the day of the quilt show (July 12th). Responsibilities for hostessing include: standing and walking around our exhibit for a couple of hours and answering any questions and giving people information about our challenge. We will have a table and a COMQG banner in our area as well. Thanks to those who signed up, and for those who didn't sign up, there is still space! Contact Kayla.

Look for an email asking for volunteers to help with a presentation about modern quilting to the East of the Cascades Guild in Sisters on March 26th.

Wish Upon a Card
if you took Michael Miller fabric for the challenge, you need to submit your finished card by April 15th. Please see our post here for more information about how to make a card, or contact Crystal, Kayla, Sabine, or Christy, as they've all made cards before.
Due date: April 15th.

Kayla distributed fabric for Ronald McDonald auction quilt house blocks. She is asking for 9 inch unfinished blocks using the fabrics she provided. Your block should be a house of any kind. I think there's still fabric packets available, so contact Kayla for information.
