Meeting Reminder





It's that time again, so we're meeting on the Third Tuesday, March 17th from 5pm to 8pm at the Stitchin' Post. 

On the agenda, starting at 6pm:
1) Last week was the first meeting of the Scrappy Stash Buster Group. We'll get an update. Remember, the pattern is here: http://www.incolororder.com/p/block-of-month.htm
2) Registering Quilts at the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show Website. We need to register our guild challenge quilts: http://sistersquiltshow.garynmiller.com/

3) Fabric Nametags! Get your COMQG logo fabric from Kayla at the meeting. Wear your finished nametag to the first meeting in April to have a chance to win the QuiltCon Goodie bag!
4) Sew day at Erin's in April. Erin will host a guild sew day and potluck on Saturday, April 4th
5) Retreat.  Lindsey will host a retreat May 1st -3rd.
6) Challenge:Have you thought about our Cool Color challenge yet? Bring your ideas and questions for a discussion. 

Bring along: 
--your sewing machine or sewing project, or anything you want! There's plenty of room for sewing. 
--your show and tell

Scrappy Stash Buster Project


Christy is hosting the Scrappy Stash Buster Project. 

Meetings start tonight! We'll be working on this until June. 
Things are flexible: make one block, or make all 12, or make more!

This is just for fun, for us to work on a project together and maybe swap some scraps and have fun together.

Meeting Notes

We had a great meeting on Tuesday. If you need more information about locations, or where to sign up for any event, look at your email, sent to members. Or email comqg@hotmail.com with questions. 

Nametags
Action item!
-We distributed fabric with our COMQG logo. Make a nametag with this logo fabric, and wear it to our first meeting in April, and you'll be eligible to win a QuiltCon goodie bag! Trust me, it's pretty awesome!
-keep wearing your nametags at future meetings, we'll have giveaways for people wearing nametags only. 

Challenge
-we voted, and cool colors won!
-due date is October 1st. 
-Challenge requirements: use entirely cool colors. A pop of warm colors is acceptable, but the quilt should be primarily cool colors. The quilt should be lap size: approximately 50-70 inches by 50-70 inches.

Meeting Reminder

It's the first Tuesday in March, and we're meeting at Quiltworks in Bend on March 3rd, from 5pm to 8pm.

At 6pm we'll do the business portion of our meeting, and we have a packed agenda!

-upcoming sew days and a retreat
-upcoming scrap quilt meetings
-nametags

Please bring:
-a hand sewing project
-a quilted nametag for show and tell. We'll be discussing making new fabric nametags with our guild logo, bring yours along to show us!
-other show and tell
