Bonus Tuesday Social Meet Up!

Oh, May, what is your deal? Rainy, sunny, cold, hot and now you have 5 Tuesdays? Sure, to those not a part of the most amazing quilt guild in Central Oregon, 5 Tuesdays doesn't mean much. For COMQG members it means 3 weeks without seeing your favorite quilting buddies. So, I propose that after the long weekend we circle the wagons over some grub and brews at the Bend Brewing Company. Tuesday is locals night so you'll enjoy pints of malty goodness for just $2.75 and half off appetizers until 6. Bring show and tell if you'd tell if you'd like and let's chat without the humming of sewing machines for a change!

Last tuesday

Last tuesday we had a meeting at quiltworks.  I managed to take a lot of blurry pictures of great work folks were doing.  See you all at the next meeting on the first tuesday of June!  All are invited to a get together at Bend Brewing Company on tuesday May 29th at 5:30 for some happy hour fun.

QuiltWorks hosts a First Friday Gallery Reception from 5PM to 7PM tomorrow and all contemporary fabrics* will be 20% off!

 

We'll honor Featured Quilter Dianne Browning as well as The Quilter's Sew-Ciety Quilt Guild of Redding, California for their spectacular "River of Quilts" exhibit.

 

Plus, Mary Ann will provide fabulous appetizers and beverages, and at 6PM, Marilyn will announce the door prize winners!

Christy's helpful hints:

I’ve had good luck elongating the longer side of the fabric rectangles.

I’ve used fabric that is 10x6 inches instead of 8x6 inches and had good luck.

Also, I have added tabs on the ends to help make pulling the zipper easier.
